Can Doordash drivers rate customers?

All Doordash drivers have a rating system that is used to evaluate their performance. Doordash customers are able to rate their driver with a one to five star system. Although there are many metrics in a dashers performance such as acceptance rate, completion rate, etc, the customer rating metrics is by far the most important. If a dasher's customer rating gets too low, they will be eligible for deactivation, and that is not a good thing.

Can Doordash drivers rate customers?

No. Doordash drivers cannot rate their customers. Doordash is not unique with this as none of the food delivery apps give this ability. It is the performance of the dashers that Doordash is concerned with, not the customers.

Why doesn't Doordash let drivers rate customers?

To food delivery app companies, it would be counterproductive and a complete waste of time. Doordash, or any other similar company are not worried about the performance of customers. I mean, these are the people that are using their service and paying money for it.

Doordash would see the rating of customers as pointless. It would not gain them any business by having a dasher give a customer a bad rating. All that would do is anger the customer at the dasher and possibly cause more problems. Basically, it wold not be beneficial to Doordash at all.

Would dashers like to rate Doordash customers?

Of course dashers would like to rate customers. We would love to give five star ratings to terrific customers. We would also love to give bad ratings to bad customers. You know, the customer with a bad sarcastic attitude. The customer that gives terrible delivery instructions. The customer that lives in a large apartment complex and doesn't answer when you cannot get in the main gate.

No matter what anybody says, we all know that there are bad customers just like there are bad dashers. Again, to companies it doesn't matter. As long as the customer is benefiting their cash flow, that is all that matters. When it comes to the customer impacting their cash flow, the company will take care of the customer, but they don't want the help or suggestion from their workers.

For example, if a Doordash customer is claiming that they did not receive their order or is missing items on a consistent basis Doordash will notice this. It would then be up to them to deactivate a customers account if they feel it is appropriate.

A Dasher can report a Doordash customer when it comes to safety issues

With all of this said, it should be noted that a Dasher can always report a safety issue to Doordash. For example, if dogs come running up to the dasher while they are making a delivery, and the dasher feels that they are in danger, they should report it to Doordash. The company will note it and surely if there are multiple complaints Doordash should take action.

I had a few of these dog incidents happen. After reporting it, you will never know what action Doordash has taken though as they will not share that information with a dasher. But, it is always best to report it.

A sexual harassment issue should also be reported. If a dasher is delivering the food and the customer violates them in any way, it should be reported. This will help make sure it doesn't happen to another dasher. Depending on the extremity of the incident, a call to the authorities may also be needed.

These are just a few  incidents that can validate being reported. If a dasher ever questions their safety for any reason, it is always best to contact Doordash and make a report about it even if they think it would just be a waste of time. Even if you think Doordash will not do anything, if there are enough reports, Doordash will be forced to take action.
