Why Doordash likes new Doordash drivers

We all started as newbies driving for Doordash. We were excited and couldn't believe how easy it was to make money. All we had to do was pick up food from a restaurant and deliver it to a customer. Piece of cake!

Doordash needs newbie drivers

When a new dasher receives their first ping to pick up an order, they are excited and accept it no matter what it is. Almost all of us were at that point at some time. Most of us didn't care what the order was. We were just excited to get an order. We pick up the order, deliver it and are happy when we see money credited to our account.

Novice Doordash drivers are loved by the company. Why? Because it will take a while before they catch on to what differentiates crappy Doordash orders and good Doordash orders. Doordash knows that none of their veteran drivers are going to accept those $4 for eight mile orders. Doordash depends on always having new dashers on the road. How else are they going to get the small crappy orders delivered?

Doordash must keep a fleet of newbie Doordash drivers on the road

If Doordash didn't have novice drivers on the road, they would have a very difficult time getting the low paying orders delivered. To new Doordash drivers, it's a whole new thing, and when something is new to somebody it is always exciting. You cannot blame these new drivers. Again, we were all there at one point.

How does Doordash make sure to keep newbie dashers on the road?

Doordash makes sure that they are constantly hiring new Doordash drivers. Sure, in some areas there is a wait list, but that's because they are flooded with a bunch of people wanting to drive for Doordash. When the right time comes, they will hire a lot of these new Doordash drivers at one time.

How does Doordash make room for new Doordash drivers?

There is only one way to make room for new Doordash drivers and that is to get rid of long time dashers. How can they do this? Easy. Just look at all of the unfair deactivation notifications that Doordash hands out like candy at one time to veteran dashers. Many of these dashers are top rated dashers will near perfect ratings.

If you look online, you will hear from a countless amount of dashers talking about how their dasher account was deactivated with no good reason. Some dashers will get a reason, but there are some dashers that never understand why they were deactivated from the platform. They never get a valid explanation.

A lot of times, Doordash will send a vague message with the deactivation notice. It will not be clear to the dasher why they got deactivated. Then there are those that receive a clear reason such as a customer complaining that their food was never delivered when in fact the dasher did deliver it.

Think a pic is going to rescue you? Apparently, there are times when Doordash doesn't care. What makes matters worse is that when a deactivated dasher contacts Doordash seller support, they are no help at all.

It is a good strategy by Doordash

What people have to realize is that Doordash is out to try and make money for themselves. Why wouldn't they? That's why they are in business. They will think of every strategy possible to keep their cash flow coming in as much as possible. If that means replacing long time dashers with new dashers so be it. These newer dashers will be more profitable to them than those that have mastered the game to make money for themselves.
