A Doordash driver's ratings are very important. These ratings basically tell a Dasher how well they are doing when it comes to their performance. The most important rating is the customer rating which is the first one shown on top of the rest of the ratings. Other ratings shown are acceptance rate, on time deliveries and completion rate.
Do Doordash ratings update right away?
Yes, a dasher's ratings will update in real time. Upon completing a delivery, a dasher will notice that their ratings may change a bit. The customer rating may take a while to change as the customer may not leave a customer rating right away. Heck, they may not even leave a rating at all.
You will see your acceptance rate and other ratings change right away as every delivery may impact your percentages. Your acceptance rate is the one that a dasher will see fluctuate more often than others.
Should I even worry about my Doordash ratings?
Even though you don't need to focus to heavily on your Doordash ratings, you will want to make sure that your ratings do not fall below the minimum requirements which will put you at risk for deactivation. The two ratings to worry about here are customer ratings and completion rate. As far as deactivation goes, you do not need to worry about the other ratings.
The customer rating will have a minimum score that is needed. Different regions will have a different minimum score before you are at risk of deactivation. Most regions have a minimum customer rating of 4.20. If you are close to this, or below it, you may want to follow better practices. One thing to keep in mind is that just because you go under does not mean that Doordash is going to automatically deactivate you. It just means that you are at risk and better get your customer rating up.
Your completion rate is also important as if you fall below 80 percent, you are at risk of deactivation. The best way to get to 80 percent is by canceling a lot of orders after you accept them. Don't do this too often. Sure, there will be times when you need to cancel an order after accepting it, just keep it to a bare minimum. Doordash actually gives a lot of leeway here as most dashers do not find it very difficult to maintain a 80 percent completion rate.
Doordash ratings are always accurate
Unless there is some kind of glitch in the system, your Doordash ratings are always accurate. Over the many years that I have been a Dasher, there has only been one time when my ratings were not accurate. Well, either they were not accurate or the ratings that was being shown to customer support were not accurate because what they were seeing was different from what I was seeing. I am pretty sure to this day that the problem was on their end. It costed me my top rated dasher status for a few months, but it was eventually fixed.
